Mr. Shoham has extensive international business development experience in the USA, Europe and China. Shoham has worked on many transactions between Israeli and Chinese companies, including initiating Infineon’s equity stake in Saifun Semiconductors. He served on the Board of Directors of Bio-Cell and was instrumental in having the Company enter the public markets through a reverse merger with Protalix Biopharmaceuticals (NYSE MKT:PLX). He holds an MBA and a B.A. in Economics from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and an LL.B degree from the Faculty of Law of Tel-Aviv University.
Dr. Efim Monsov
Mr. Monsov has over 28 years experience in environmental engineering, technology development and project management. Dr. Monosov founded Elif technology Ltd. in 1994 and managed the company as CTO and CEO. In 2006 the company was sold to Aquarius Technologies Inc. with Vice President & CTO Dr. Monosov until 2012. Dr. Monosov has a M.Sc. degree in Environmental Engineering (with honors) from St. Petersburg State University of Architecture & Civil Engineering and a PhD in the same field from St. Petersburg State Technological Institute.Dr. Monosov holds several US and international patents related to environmental engineering and waste treatment technology.
Mr. Palas brings extensive significant international cleantech project development and management experience within both the private and government sectors. He has held multi-faceted roles with biodiesel projects in China, Brazil, and Africa. Palas worked with the International Finance Corporation to gain entrance to the Chinese market for a large scale project. As Senior Vice President of Office Depot, he was responsible for the exponential growth of 30,000 Israeli business accounts. Palas holds a M.Sc. in from Baruch College – The City University of New York and a B.A. in Statistics and Management from Haifa University.
Vice President Business Development, Europe
Rafa brings more than seventeen years of experience in the water treatment field around the world, mainly with responsibilities in technology and commercial development, project management, and operations. Rafa specialises in design and development of business with public entities in different countries, mainly in Europe and South America. He served as marketing manager of some Israeli and American companies including Amiad, Elif, Aquarius and CTG in the introduction of new treatment technologies in those territories. Rafa specializes in the design of long-term agreements in the public sector under the model of build, operate and transfer.
Mr. Lazar is a finance executive with extensive background in the Italian and Israeli markets, Aviram facilitates governance, control, coordination and administration in the framework of Italian-Israeli business collaborations.
With about a decade of experience in finance management, people integration, business support and administration for technological/retail projects, as well as leadership across multicultural environments, Aviram is a trusted adviser and business partner combining strategic perspective with analytical and financial skills. Aviram also brings to Blue Sphere extensive experience in board level reporting, budgeting and business guidance, marketing and operations support, working closely with senior staff to improve decision making across multi-cultural teams.

Mr. Amitzur has vast experience in international project execution that includes work with large system integrators, institutions and investors in the environmental market. He served as President of Clean Technologies Group, a company specializing in water technology investment and in water and waste-water project development. With offices in the USA, Australia, Spain, Turkey, Peru, Chile and South Africa, the company executed BOT (Build-Operate-Transfer) and turnkey projects. As Corporate Vice President at Comverse Technology (NASDAQ: CMVT). Mr. Amitzur holds an MBA and a B.Sc. in Computer Science, both from the University of Maryland.
Executive Vice President Eastern Sphere Ltd.
Mr. Amitzur leads business development activity for Blue Sphere in Israel. He has worked for several infrastructure and environmental companies in the EMEA region where he is known for completing projects in time and on budget.
Vice President Strategy & Business Development
Perry brings extensive strategic planning, marketing strategy and information technology expertise to Blue Sphere Corporation where he is responsible for developing the company’s project pipeline and client relationship management, focusing primarily on the European market. Prior to joining Blue Sphere, Perry spent over a decade as CEO of Mitzuv, a management consulting firm specializing in strategic planning and marketing consulting. Perry holds a BSc in Electrical Engineering from Tel Aviv University and an MBA in Marketing & Finance from Columbia Business School, Columbia University in the United States.
Dr. Elad Kerner
Executive Vice President
Dr. Kerner’s main fields of expertise are commercial transactions, international transactions, defense transactions, finance and securities, real estate, M&A, corporate laws, intellectual property and litigation.
He has extensive experience in finance and development of commercial projects and has extraordinary ability to efficiently handle complex negotiations.
Among other positions, he served as Executive VP and General counsel of Israel Aerospace Industries Ltd. (the largest aerospace & defense company of Israel, annual turnover of approximately $4B and 16,000 employees) and as a partner and special consultant of leading law firms.
He is a Lieutenant Colonel in the Reserve Forces of the Israeli Defense Forces and serves as a Military Judge.
Dr. Kerner holds a cum laude L.L.B and a Ph.D. in law, both from the Bar-Ilan University.
Project Development Manager
Beth Anne contributes 30 years of experience in waste management, recycling, and corporate sustainability. She has acted as an advisor for municipal waste to energy projects and has been active in energy efficiency market development. She has served as Executive Director of the Carolinas EcoCrescent, Director of the Sustainable Business Leadership Forum, Sierra Club Clean Energy Campaign Manager, and Environmental Services Manager for Goodwill Industries. Beth served 8 years on the Mecklenburg County Waste Management Advisory Board, Central Piedmont Community College Sustainability Advisory Board for 4 years, and Sustainable Business Advisor for the Michael Scott Mater Foundation. As Principal of Sustainable Visions Consulting, her focus on food waste prevention and utilization led her to Blue Sphere where she currently manages project development in the Eastern region of the US. She is a graduate of the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
